Loved this book! it was a quick read but such a good feel story. I would highly recommend to read if you want to feel good and smile after reading it. It takes quite a bit to get a five star from me that is how good this story made me feel. Yes, it has a religious tone to it but so what!? Why should that make it bad or good for that matter. I did NOT notice a lot of errors and I did not see any offensive language so I don't know why some reviews said what they did. I will have to read some more from this author and see what other stories he writes.Product details

I really liked this book. But when they say "short-story", that is accurate. It's only 26 pages so I whipped through it. However, it was pretty amazing what Mr. Graham weaved into those 26 pages. I just wish it could have been longer. I will definitely be checking out a "full-length" novel by this author. This was an inspiring short story.
If there was any problem with this story it was too short. This was an excellent story of how some people are needing to be knocked up the side of the head to see the path they are destined to take. Although the main character almost meets his end doing what he is given to do, the grace of God is well portrayed with an extraordinary priest seeing what has been going on and saying what needs to be said from the right source.
I enjoyed this spiritual story from start to finish. Graham is a good writer, and I'm going to read more of his short stories as well as novels. There were a few mistakes his proofreader missed, but they didn't hurt the flow of words. I loves the Bible quotes, and the theme of hope and redemption. One must suspend disbelief, but that's the point.
This very brief story is so well written that I had to give it 5 stars! Not that we would expect any less from Joshua Graham. If it were less than touching, thought provoking, suspenseful, and very well written, I would have given it 3 stars for the poor proof reading and brevity. But, it is well worth the read and the price. I will definitely be purchasing more works from this gifted artist who just happens to paint with words..
By all means, get this book and read it as soon as you can! It is a definite must read for everyone. If you're down and feeling like you are bound to lose no matter what direction you are going, it will most probably put you in a much better frame of mind. If you aren't depressed, this short story will, without a doubt touch your heart. A definite MUST READ. Ignore the typos and just enjoy the story. Joshua Graham, you definitely surprised me, very pleasantly, I might add. Thank-you so much for writing this book!
I finished this book at 0330. It was pretty good. I really felt bad for poor David stuck in the rut he was in. I wish more people would believe in themselves and in God and have faith. If things go bad you don't have to spend the rest of your life tormenting yourself over the past.
I understand people are mean, cruel, evil and chasing the almighty dollar because its what the world wants you to do. But, if you look toward God, you realize life is about living for Him and not being mislead by the deceiver.
This guy gave up everything. A little girl had faith in him, she believed in him. she was so sweet to follow him anywhere he was going. all i could see was this little girl hugging her cat. even in the accident i saw her and her cat. Im glad she lived thought it. im glad Davids family made it too. Dave was guided at just the right time in his life to do what God wanted him to do.
Joshua never disappoints.
I was pleasantly surprised by the time I finished this short read, my introduction to the writing of Joshua Graham.
I was gripped by a man who had lost it all - largely by his own hand, having not set his priorities straight. Even so, as most people who don't realize the consequences of their actions until it's too late, he was distraught. I witnessed him at his most desperate moment, prayed he wouldn't be able to carry out his final act.
The turn of events which occurred after hearing a woman scream amazed me, taking me into a direction I should have seen coming but didn't; I was so caught up in the story that I didn't even think about the title.
The story made me think on so many levels that it will probably linger in my mind for a while. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the typos; had there only been one or two, I would have overlooked them but, as it is, with good conscience, I could not.
